Behaviour support services

Specialist practitioner services that empower positive outcomes

Caring Compassionately provides professional practitioner support services designed to help NDIS participants build skills, increase independence, and achieve meaningful life outcomes. Our evidence-based approach focuses on understanding each person's strengths, goals, environment, and support needs.

We work collaboratively with participants, families, carers, support teams, educators, and health professionals to develop practical strategies that create lasting positive change.

Specialist practitioner support services

Positive behaviour support

Our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practitioners work closely with participants who experience behaviours of concern, helping them develop safer, more effective ways to communicate their needs and engage with the world around them.

Our PBS services include:

  • Functional Behaviour Assessments
  • Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Skill-building programs
  • Capacity building for families and support teams
  • Restrictive practice reduction strategies
  • Ongoing monitoring and review
  • School, workplace, and community collaboration

Our goal is to improve quality of life, increase participation, and build sustainable support strategies that benefit the participant and their wider support network. NDIS behaviour support practitioners are required to meet suitability standards established by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Dementia behaviour support

Compassionate support for changing needs

Living with dementia can create significant challenges for individuals, families, and support networks. At Caring Compassionately, our specialist practitioners provide evidence-based dementia behaviour support that focuses on understanding the person behind the diagnosis.

Rather than viewing behaviours as problems, we seek to understand what an individual may be communicating through their actions, emotions, and responses.

Our dementia support services include

  • Individual behavioural assessments
  • Family and carer education
  • Dementia support planning
  • Responsive behaviour strategies
  • Environmental assessments
  • Capacity building for support teams
  • Transition support
  • Ongoing review and consultation

Person-centred dementia care

'Our practitioners work to identify underlying factors contributing to distress, including:
